I recently shot a sangeet ceremony and the images came out wonderful because I was able to relate to the customs of sangeet. Songs were sung, family laughed, and children played throughout the night. At the ceremony I remained almost invisible shooting the delicate moments you can never pose for. The smiles and the closeness of family, and my camera created art that night. When the indian bride and relatives saw the images, they were thoroughly impressed with the outcome of the raw emotion in the shots.
Next, they should have experience shooting a Mehendi party. Mehendi parties are an important part of any traditional Indian wedding. The amount of moment it takes to apply the beautiful styles and waiting for the henna to dry makes getting the right photographer even more essential. The 2-4 week tattoo's will eventually fade away, but when you've got the right photographs the drama will live forever. The responsible photographer should be accustomed to capturing the various angles, and beauty of henna as well as, the intimacy of the brides friends and family throughout the process.
